Enzymes, are used extensively within this industry, and can be classified into two major groups, Amylases and Cellulases which are used for de-sizing and stonewashing. Denykem supplies a range of products for these purposes, the preferred type for stonewashing is Neutral cellulase, designed to add abrasion and character to the garments without damaging the integrity of the fabric. These can be operated in a wide variety of conditions.
 
Also supplied, are a range of Acid and Hybrid Cellulases, which are used for stonewashing, de-pilling and bio-polishing, on a selection of cellulosic fabric types. To fulfil all the customer requirements, Denykem can design and blend specific products to ensure customer satisfaction.

Denykem formulations can be supplied as liquid, granular, powders or fully granulated dust free products, depending upon customer requirements, packaged in a variety of ways. The powdered products can also be supplied pre-weighed in water-soluble plastic bags, designed to reduce the need for measuring and handling. In addition to Denykems fully built blends, we can also supply cellulase concentrates for customers to blend their own formulations.

Surfactants. Substances, which act at interfaces to alter surface tensions, are termed surface-active agents or surfactants. They include materials, which improve wet-ability, loosen and remove soil, and emulsify or suspend particulate matter.

The applications of surfactants are widely distributed throughout science, technology and everyday life. It is this great diversity of applications, which make surfactants so important. Surfactants are generally classified by their ionic properties in water. Anionic - carry a negative charge; have excellent cleaning properties and are high foaming. Non-ionic - carry no charge, are resistant to water hardness; clean well on most soils and are low foaming. Cat-ionic - carry a positive charge and are used in fabric softeners and disinfecting products. Amphoteric - carry a charge dependent upon the pH of the liquor and are used for their mildness and foaming stability. Denykem offers a range of surfactants and anti-redeposition agents suited to any wash conditions.


Colour Tints. Denykem markets a range of Tinting products, as an intermediate stage between stonewashed and fully over-dyed garments, designed to add a coloured cast without masking the textured appeal of a rinsed, stonewashed or bleached cotton jean.

Auxiliaries, Softeners. To compliment our product range, Denykem produces a variety of auxiliaries and softeners. When used in conjunction with our cellulases and surfactants, these products complete the package required to turn a raw garment into the fully finished article.
